What's happening?
This year the Austin J40 Pedal Car Club will be holding its annual rally at the Heritage Motor Centre. Formed over 25 years ago the club now has well over 100 members. The cars were made by Austin between 1949 and 1972 in a factory in South Wales which was created to provide work for disabled former coal miners.
Up to 30 Austin pedal cars driven by their owners aged between 3 and 11 are expected to participate in the rally which will comprise races and driving tests, followed by a colouring competition and prize-giving.
