What's happening?
The Ford Y & C Model Register is sponsoring the Old Ford Rally at Gaydon on the 26th July 2009 in association with the Heritage Motor Centre, Gaydon. Clubs perceive a need for an all embracing rally covering all classic Fords and the first OLD FORD RALLY is intended to fill this present gap as a quality show with classic Fords,autojumble, indoor presentations and much more for motoring enthusiasts. Gaydon Heritage Motor Centre is an excellent venue in terms of location, J12 on the M40, motoring museum and general facilities. All this is available to exhibitors and visitors.

Old Fords, and all derivatives, built up to 1982 will be on show exhibiting the tremendous range of vehicles produced by one of the world’s biggest manufacturers. Everything from Model T's through the cars of the pre-war austerity years, agricultural & military vehicles, and onto the more luxurious post-war Zodiacs and many more will be on show alongside the commercial workhorses carrying the goods to all corners of the world.

Take a “Ride in an Old Ford” is an unusual event where members of the public will be able to take a ride(s) in old Fords with a small donation to a charity. This will not only raise money for a good cause but also give a superb opportunity to experience a flavour of motoring in the past. Maybe this is where we encourage the next generation of enthusiasts. A range of cars will be available from participating clubs.

The excellent indoor facilities will host club vehicle presentations and the film theatre will provide visitors with footage of thrills and spills over the years. Gaydon offers a splendid museum for the whole family.  The outdoor arena will hold parades of some of the best Fords in the country and hard standing areas ensure that the show will go on whatever the weather.
